Bandeira Visit 2016
On Thursday, March 30th 2017 the art department took a small number of IGCSE and IB pupils to the studio of Lydio Bandeira de Mello, a renowned Brazilian contemporary painter whose work is displayed in museums, art galleries and churches in both Brazil and abroad.   The students learnt about his life and work and then participated in a life drawing class directed by the artist. The work produced in the three-hour class showed great potential and we hope that this experience has inspired our artists and has shown them what is possible with time and effort.
