Bunraku Project 2007
This was an IB creative arts project based on the Japanese Bunraku puppet theatre tradition. Students from IB Visual Arts, Theatre Arts an Music worked together on the project. The Visual Arts students designed and made the puppets, the Theatre Arts students wrote the script and directed the performance and the Music Students composed and performed the music. The final piece was performed to an audience of parents and invited guests.
LAHC student conference
The focus of this year’s event was the Creative Arts. The conference was organized in collaboration with Centro Popular de Conspiração, Gargarullo.
Batik Work
Class 8 students have been designing and printing textile pieces. Their designs have been influenced by Patterns from West Africa.

Class 6 Composite Mixed Media Piece 2008
Students worked on individual panels and interpreted a section of a painting. The sections were then put together to form the whole image.
Class 7 Sculptures 2008 During the year the class 7 art students produced sculpures by carving celular concrete.

Urca Mosaic Project 2004
The mosaic was made to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the British School.
Recycling Project 2007
Students collected ‘found objects’ and created sculptures. To help develop their work they looked at other artists who have created art work from found objects such as Picasso and Duchamp.
Henry Moore
The exhibition was held at Paço Imperial. The students have made sculptures based on the theme ‘mother and child’ one of Henry Moore’s favorite themes
Class 8 Three Dimensional Images
These photographs show three dimensional still life constructions. They were made by class 8 students using mixed media.

Portraits produced by C5 students
Students researched the work of different artists and produced these paintings as a result.
Class 6 Photoshop work During C5, students produced 'memory boxes' in the style of the artist, Cornel. Now they combined the photographs of their boxes with images of themselves.
