If you are a new member
of our community – either as a parent, teacher or pupil
– I hope that this website will provide you with a
helpful summary of what we stand for and a brief guide to our
daily practice. If you are reading this because you are interested
in what we have to offer as a school – either as an education
for your children or as a place to work - I trust that you will
take the opportunity to visit us to see for yourself what we
are all about.
This website does its best to portray the life and purposes
of the school. The key document, which comes under close scrutiny and detailed review each year, is the School’s statement of Vision, Mission, Philosophy, Aims and Objectives. It is a clear expression
of what we stand for and believe in and states the specific
actions we take to achieve our aims. It is our essential guide
to daily practice.
What this portrait of our school fails to describe is the inherent
and incessant efforts being made to learn and improve our school
and ourselves at every level – be it in the classroom
or on the Board of Governors. We are a community which shares
a common drive to want and to do better. Expectations are high
and one can readily sense a genuine striving for excellence.
Everyone is welcome to participate, everyone is valued and everyone
has a vital role to play in developing this exciting community
of learning. The British School is imbued with the sincerely
held belief that, by working hard and by working closely together,
we can achieve great things for our children.
| It is an enormous privilege to introduce
you to our unique community. |
